At Bower Mapson Limited we are committed to ensuring that every aspect of buying and owning a Bower Mapson home is an enjoyable experience. We take great care in choosing a site, designing homes that blend harmoniously with their particular setting and finally building with care enabling us to deliver a home that we are all proud of.

The Buying Process
We will endeavour to make the buying process as smooth as possible by ensuring that we provide you with comprehensive information throughout. At reservation, we will write to you with full details of the terms of sale, setting out the home buying process in more detail and providing you with useful information about the purchase process.

Choices and Selections
Dependent on the build stage of the property at reservation, there may be a number of choices that you will be offered such as tiling choices, together with extras for kitchen and bedrooms. We will ensure you have all the information required to make these selections.

Health and Safety
Although we appreciate it is a very exciting experience watching your new home take shape and the temptation to walk onto the building site can be immense, building sites are very dangerous places and Bower Mapson is required by law to ensure that access to the site is not available to the public. Your safety is our primary concern so you must not visit the site unaccompanied and without a prior appointment. We will do our best to offer appointments at reasonable times where we will provide you with appropriate protective clothing, which must be worn and accompany you as necessary. Please be aware that access to some areas of the development may be restricted.

Handover and Legal Completion
We will keep you informed as the construction of your new home progresses and at the appropriate time we will either agree a legal completion date or serve a Completion Notice. After exchange of contracts, we will arrange a Pre Handover Demonstration Meeting with you at your new home. We prepare a full Handover Pack for you containing all the information required for your new home, together with contact numbers, and at this meeting, our Construction Manager will go through the Pack with you to familiarise you with all aspects of your new home including the kitchen appliances, heating, hot water, main services. He will also explain our customer care procedures.

Your new home will be completed by the agreed legal completion date, however, if we have suffered delay on any external works due to inclement weather, we will ensure that access to your home is clean and unobstructed. When legal completion has taken place, we will release the keys to you. This is a legal formality that must take place to protect both parties. Our Construction Manager will be on hand to ensure that you are happy with the condition of your new home, take meter readings, pass our Handover Pack to you and leave you to enjoy your new Bower Mapson home.

Customer Care
We aim to give efficient and personal care to all our customers, both during and perhaps more importantly, after they have purchased their new home.

Under the terms of the NHBC Buildmark guarantee, we will repair any defects as and when they may occur. In addition, we also carry out a maintenance inspection six months after initial occupation to pick up any items that arise as residents begin to enjoy their new homes. However, throughout this period, you will be responsible for wear and tear, decorating and general routine maintenance.

Should a visit be necessary, we will respond promptly by sending our dedicated Maintenance Man at an agreed date and time to either undertake the repair or to inspect the problem and determine what action is necessary. Should a further visit be necessary, we will agree a new date for the work to be completed. Please be aware that delays may occur if parts or materials to complete the repair are unavailable or if there is adverse weather or other circumstances beyond our control. We will keep you informed as to the progress should there be any delays in rectifying a defect.
